COVID-19 has caused a lot of unrest for a lot of industries, including the Lakeland video production industry. This particular industry has been hit particularly hard because video production relies on in-person interactions for the professionals to get their footage.

Now that restrictions are starting to ease up, people are looking to hire video production professionals to record their events. Many videography teams cannot pass up these opportunities because of the financial loss that they’ve had to deal with for the past few months, but how are you supposed to guarantee the safety of you and your team? Here are some ways that you can successfully pull this off.

Always wear a mask

One of the first lines of defenses that you have against the coronavirus is your mask. You should always keep your mask on, no matter how uncomfortable it can be. There is no denying that it can get hot, but always remember that this is going to be your main protection against the virus.

There are plenty of types of masks available, but you have to wear the types that are recommended by the CDC and WHO for maximum protection. Some types of masks are no better than a simple piece of cloth over your face, and will not do anything for your personal protection.

Bring the necessary supplies

In addition to your video production gear, you shouldn’t forget to bring additional supplies to guarantee your safety. This refers to personal hygiene supplies like hand sanitizers and antibacterial wipes which can be used to clean your hands after handling shared items and touching surfaces. The virus can easily transfer on surfaces, so you are not going to want to take any chances.

Do not partake of the food

A huge benefit to recording events is the food that is usually set aside for videography teams and other vendors. However, some people aren’t as strict with their safety practices, and many people have contracted the virus at these events as a result of that complacency. For the sake of safety, it’s best that you and your team bring your own food and utensils so that you don’t expose yourself to the risk of the virus.

Develop good sanitation practices

Once the Lakeland video production shoot is over and done with, make sure that you take the time to wipe down all of your gear and properly sanitize them. The last thing that you want is to accidentally give the virus to someone else who uses the gear. Always practice a good sanitation system during and after the event so that you and your team are properly protected against the virus.
